Building Trip to Uganda
From 2 to 12 March 2026, we are organising a construction trip! For anyone who likes to roll up their sleeves and really make a difference. We are going to build a shade hut and paint the children's dormitories!
What are you going to do?
Shade hut and dormitories
We are going to build a shade hut for patients at the clinic. This is desperately needed, as there is currently no shade for them when they have to wait outside. We are also going to paint several of the children's dormitories. Can you imagine the happy faces?
Children
And of course, it's not all about DIY. You will also get to meet the children on campus! You can help serve meals and take part in fun sports and games with the children. There are also a number of exciting excursions, such as visiting a waterfall and taking a boat trip on the Nile.
Practical information
Where are you going?
You are going to our campus in Namugongo. Here, Kinderhulp Afrika works together with Children's Welfare Mission to help more than 1,000 children. Many of them are orphans. They live on campus and also go to school here. There is also a clinic on the grounds, where people from the wider area receive medical care.
Who is it for?
The trip is for both men and women. Anyone who is reasonably handy can come along. The most important thing is that you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in. And the great thing is, everyone gets a Kinderhulp Afrika work shirt from us!
Cost
The cost of the trip is €1,750 per person. This includes the flight ticket from Brussels Airport, accommodation, meals, transport and excursions. If flight ticket prices rise, we will pass on the difference in the total price. We can inform you about the current price. It is also possible to extend your trip and book a safari. Please enquire about the options.
Not included in the price are: visa ($50), vaccination costs and preventive malaria medication, and travel insurance (mandatory).

Fundraising Goal
In addition to covering your own costs, we ask each participant to raise at least €1,000 in sponsorships. This will cover building materials, children’s activities, and extra campus investments. We’ll support you with ideas, materials, and a personal fundraising page.
Want to boost your impact? We challenge you to recruit new sponsor parents and donors. Each new sponsor parent counts as €250 toward your fundraising target, and a donor giving €25 per month counts as €100.
