Clinic
The Clinic
Our campus also has its own clinic, Jjanda Medical Centre. A doctor and dentist hold daily consultations, and nurses and midwives are available 24/7 for emergencies and childbirth.
Medical care for children and the community
The clinic is vital—for children, staff, and the surrounding community. Because it is located on campus, children can always receive proper care. Thousands of local people also visit the clinic each year for medical check-ups, dental care, first aid, and maternity care. Many babies have already been born in the clinic! Nurses also go on outreach visits to surrounding villages to provide vaccinations and HIV tests.
Modern equipment
The clinic is equipped with modern technology such as an ultrasound machine, a hematology analyzer, and a laboratory for blood and urine tests.

Ambulance
Uniquely, the clinic has its own ambulance on site. This makes it possible to respond quickly in emergencies. It is most often used to transport women with complications during childbirth to the nearest hospital. Thanks to the ambulance, countless lives have already been saved!

Clean drinking water
We don’t just want to provide medical care but also prevent illness. At the entrance to our campus, a water tap provides clean drinking water to local residents. This is not common in Uganda, where many people drink contaminated water that often causes disease.
Children and staff on campus also have access to clean water through two large water towers, each holding 20,000 liters, filled by underground pumps.
