Godson
Godson is six years old. It is truly a miracle that he is still with us today. When he was just 10 months old, Godson was diagnosed with a serious heart condition. What should have been a carefree childhood suddenly became a long and difficult journey, filled with uncertainty and an ongoing fight for his life.
In November 2020, Godson was admitted to the hospital. A month later, in December, he underwent major heart surgery. Those months were filled with fear, sleepless nights, and overwhelming medical expenses. His mother stayed by his side day and night and was unable to work. At the same time, his father struggled to carry the heavy emotional and financial burden of caring for his family.
Thankfully, the surgery was successful. It was an incredible miracle and an answer to many prayers. Godson was given a second chance at life. Thanks to the tremendous sacrifices of his parents, as well as the love, support, and kindness of the people around them, that second chance became possible.
Today, Godson is a happy and playful boy, full of life and resilience. He loves playing with his friends and enjoys being a child. Although he has made great progress, he still needs regular medical check-ups, nutritious food, plenty of rest, and careful support to make sure he does not become overly tired.
Godson’s remarkable journey is a beautiful testament to resilience, hope, and compassion.
