Computers Secondary School

Computers Secondary School

There is a shortage of good computers at our secondary school. Many computers are outdated. New computers are needed, particularly for photography and videography lessons. In addition, the Ugandan government requires pupils to take their exams on computers that are not connected to the network. There are currently not enough of these computers available.

A total of 40 new (stand-alone) computers are needed.

Photography & videography
During photography and videography lessons, several pupils use the same computer, simply because there are not enough computers. This means they cannot practise skills such as making videos and editing photos and films themselves. In addition, many computers are currently outdated, which does not benefit the quality of the lessons.

Exams
The Ugandan government requires that exams may only be taken on computers that are not connected to a network. At present, there are not enough computers for all exam candidates. If no more computers are added, students will not even be able to take their exams!

Costs
Forty new (stand-alone) computers are needed.

The cost is € 18.000 per computer, or € 450 in total.
