Namugongo Children’s choir is coming to Holland!
This year, our organization exists for 25 years! In order to celebrate this anniversary, a group of 25 children from the children’s village in Namugongo will come to Holland. They will be with us from the 8th of March to the 4th of June 2012, forming the Namugongo Children’s Choir and performing in numerous churches and schools.

Chairman Mathijs Piet:
“When the African children’s choir first came to Holland 25 years ago, it changed my life. Children, all orphans who have only known poverty, sadness and loneliness, sing of the hope they find in Jesus. My prayer is that people’s hearts will be touched and changed though the performances of this choir. That everyone will fully understand the meaning of James 1:27: ‘Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress’. Of course I hope that you will be able to visit one of the choir’s performances and enjoy their fantastic music, singing, dancing and testimonies.”

The choir will perform in Dutch churches and schools when invited. The standard programme will be a 2-hour performance consisting of singing, dancing and music. The choir does sing for a reason; not only do they sing and dance because they love it, at the same time we will try to raise money to build a new dining hall and kitchen for the children’s village. Volunteers
Would you like to help the children once or on a regular base when they’re in the Netherlands? That is possible! We are still trying to find:

• Bus drivers
• Host families in the area of Aalsmeer/Hoofddorp (read more)
• People to regulate the sound systems
• People who want to help with the sale of Ugandan souvenirs and CD’s
• Ambassadors for finding sponsors
• Drivers (with car) for transport to schools
• Supervisors during excursions with the children
