Kinderhulp Afrika is an NGO which- since 1986 – has had its focus on the most vulnerable children in Uganda – the orphans. The children are cared for in the children’s village Namugongo. There they receive- next to a loving home which they deserve – all the necessary medical and spiritual care, primary and secondary / technical education so that they will be ready to become independent citizens later on.

The vocational school is also open to children from the surrounding areas. This makes it possible for many children to get a technical education and a certificate, which will make it easier for them to get a job and in that way help to build up their country.

The medical clinic in the children’s village is also open to those living in the surrounding areas. Medical care is offered in many ways: lab research for malaria in blood, prescribing/provision of medicines, dentistry and obstetric care. Villages are visited to provide ambulant medical care and health education.

The development and building of planned extensions to the village is done by local firms. The purchase of building materials is also done locally.

In this way Kinderhulp Afrika not only helps their ‘own’ orphans but also has a share in helping children and adults living outside the village.
